Forum Proceedings

cover of Proceedings

The first Washington Forum for Conservation Incentives was held January 5, 2007.

It gathered farmers and foresters, planners and local officials, conservationists, tribal members, and others to discuss a central question: How can we create incentives that motivate individucals to become the best possible stewards of their land?

These proceedings (1 MB pdf) provide summaries of the presentations and discussions that took place at the forum.

Working Documents

These reports and issue briefs were produced to assist the Washington Biodiversity Council in identifying priorities and recommendations for its 30-year prioritized strategy, to enable the state to sustainably conserve its biodiversity heritage.

While designed primarily for Council use, we present these documents here to share what we have learned. We hope they will stimulate discussion and dialogue, and we encourage your feedback.
